I wanted to give my niece a pair of purple shoes for her 2nd birthday. These shoes were to match a fantastic purple and green dress. So I looked everywhere, but I couldn't find any purple shoes! So I decided to make my own. With a little trial and error on different types of shoes, I found out what really works and was able to make my niece her very own pair of purple shoes.
After the first pair of hand painted shoes came a request for a second pair, some green shoes. After the green shoes, she needed a pair of orange and yellow shoes with flowers to match another dress. One thing let to another and Tadpoles was created! Since then I have been making custom hand painted shoes for many little feet.
